10th July - Thames Water have confirmed discharge of treated sewage from storm tanks today. They say contractor left valve open, but we suspect storm tanks are unable to cope with recent heavy summer rainfall.
RBWM and Environment Agency investigating. Not thought to be a public health issue but discharge contains high ammonia levels. Test results expected 11th July. RBWM will provide warnings if necessary.
Contractor aeration pumps sited at the cattle grid will be moved 11th July. Have also reported unseasonal high water levels of stream and flooding on Dorney Common. RBWM are keeping pressure on Thames Water.
